Balboa Paradise - Renovated Coastal Haven

Lovely place in an excellent location.

Pros: Excellent location and lovely and comfortable. Very clean and well appointed.

Cons: The windows being slats meant that it was quite cool - I can imagine this being a real positive in summer though.

Excellent property that fit our needs. I would not recommend for anyone who has trouble with stairs

Pros: 1. The location was perfect for our trip. 2. The hosts were extremely responsive to text messages. 3. It was great to have a private parking spot, although the hosts were correct in noting that the space is for smaller cars only. 4. The property was well maintained, clean, and well-stocked. 5. The beds and pillows were great. 6. Easy walk to shops and restaurants, 7. The area is very quaint.

Cons: 1. My wife and I traveled with an 87 yo brother, who had difficulty with the steps (this is an upstairs unit) and could not use the shower because it is not a walk in shower. My wife and I had no difficulty. 2. No handrails in shower. The shower did work well with excellent hot water. 3. The mini-split heater/AC unit's fan did not work so we needed to use the provided space heaters which made it very comfortable. The hosts had requested a service call but this did not occur during our stay. 4. I am not very tech savvy, so the living room TV operation required a learning curve.

Pros: The entire property was awesome! It was Clean, had lots of amenities, close to everything. It was great!

I need to go to Newport Beach for work semi regularly and I would definatly stay here again

Pros: Location was great, walking distance to shops and restaurants. Beds are super comfy. Kitchen was well equipped and we were able to do cooked breakfasts every morning.

Cons: Parking our big fat truck was tight but parking is tight everywhere in LA. It was nice to have off street parking.

We absolutely love it!

Pros: It's such a snug little spot! We didn't whip up any meals, but we had a blast using the microwave and coffee maker.

Cons: Hey there! Just a quick heads-up when you use the front gate—there are some light cords and things on the side, so watch your step to avoid tripping! Also, we had a bit of a struggle with the Apple TV; it took us some time to get it sorted out.

Beautiful gem very close to restaurants and shops

Pros: This beautiful property was very clean, updated and well appointed. The kitchen appliance were top notch and it had everything that is needed including a drip coffee pot, a toaster, etc. The beds were very comfortable and there were plenty of linens in the linen closet outside of the beautiful bathroom. We enjoyed playing cards at the kitchen table and reading books and having wine on the outdoor sofa. The location of this property is ideal because it is a block or two from all of the shops and restaurants on Marine Ave. we walked to get coffee, breakfast and dinner several times. You can also walk to the end of the street to the walking path that looks out at the bay and all of the boats. The rental company was so accommodating! I would definitely stay at this property again!
