Cozy Story Book Barn Cottage with Scenic View

In a word, PERFECT !!

Pros: The wife and I just returned from a superb weekend at the storybook cottage barn. The location, the hospitality, the serenity were all ten out of ten. We highly recommend this lovely jewel in the countryside.

Would totally book for a future second trip! Thank you!

Pros: Gorgeous scenery, host was extremely nice and accommodating, super comfortable bed, perfect size of cottage, lots of amenities including AC, fans, cooking utensils and equipment, TV, and clean bathroom, and overall a fantastic stay. Made for a wonderful three day adventure in Julian.

Cons: Shower is a little finicky in how to operate, but this is not a big concern and did not negatively impact our stay, as host was extremely helpful.

We will be staying at this Hidden Gem again!!

Pros: We loved Everything!! We just loved this place it was so accommodating and very warm and welcoming! It was just a couple of miles out of town and had all the accommodations we needed ! The Bed was “ Awesome!!” So very comfortable we slept like babies ! The property made you feel like you were on a rustic little farm with all these beautiful Oak trees with nature all about ! Gosh you just can’t find places like this !! The owner Angela helped us right away over the phone and Made it so easy! We had to cancel a stay at another property as nobody showed up so at the last minute we found this hidden GEM !!!! We will be staying again in the future!! Thank you Angela for making our stay so wonderfully special and memorable!!🙏🌹🌹

We had a wonderful time visiting Julian for the first time and the cottage added a special touch.

Pros: Unique and cozy cottage; nice ambiance and farm atmosphere. Neat and clean. Lot's of kitchen utensils and supplies. A cute little coffee patio looking out on the fields. Plenty of room to spread out. Close to town, easy access. The host was very responsive and helpful with local suggestions and timely information. Loved the cottage vibe!

Cons: Thankfully there is an In-room air conditioner but it does take a bit to catch up if there is extremely hot weather temperatures. Can't do much about the weather, but just to be aware.

We hope to visit again!

Pros: Love the cottage! So comfy and cozy! We appreciated the snacks and breakfast that was left for us, as well as the fire starters and wood for the fireplace. Internet access and TV were a bonus! Even better was location to the chicken coops so we could visit the chickens and other animals that were there in the property. Also loved the peace and quiet.

Cons: The bathroom was very cold, versus the rest of the house.

Perfect cozy experience for an anniversary weekend in Julian!

Pros: We loved the breakfast items and snacks available upon arrival. All cooking essentials and cleaning supplies were accessible in the kitchen/bathroom. So close to town but still private, and loved that there were games, media, activities provided in the cottage.

Cons: Was a bit warm inside, but a portable AC unit is available.

Pros: Beautiful area, very cute cottage, exceptional hostess.

Cons: Wish we could have stayed longer! (that's on me)

Pros: It was very cozy , relaxing, beautiful and clean. Definitely will go back.

Week end get away at Story Book Barn Cottage

Pros: I like the cute cozy barn style theme of the cottage and the quiet relaxing scenic farm setting with rooster crowing to wake you up. The drive to the location is also stunning, trees and open green pastures with mountain views. A perfect week end get away from the city. And the quaint rustic town of Julian is just down the road.

Cons: Nothing that I didn't like. We enjoyed everything, including the drive to Santa Ysabel mission, to Lake Cuyamaca, to Mt Palomar, to Mt Laguna.
