Fern House South Park Craftsman

A great home for family vacation

Pros: A traditional craftsman house that is well maintained and clean which enhances its already rare and welcoming style. We love that it’s equipped with a complete kitchen and AC making staying home and preparing meals comfortable in hot summer days.

Cons: The master shower knob is a little worn

Nice ！

Pros: It is a cosy, self-contained cottage. Everything was complete, especially the seasonings in the kitchen. We cooked two meals by ourselves, which was great!

Cons: The house can be cleaned up more carefully.

Very nice house, well located in a safe neighborhood

Pros: The house is very well located with stores and restaurants just minutes away. Parking (on the street at no cost) was no problem and the neighborhood is safe and nice. The kitchen and laundry facilities were very good, providing a convenience to have coffee, make meals, wash clothes. The tv has a range of choices (although we did not watch much of any). The owner was very friendly and helpful. Check-in, we arrived at 22:00, was easy and the guide to check in was well prepared so that access to the property was uneventful.

Cons: Although not a problem for us, the house is in the arrival flight pattern of planes and the street can be noisy in the early morning. You can also hear the people in the adjacent room(s). These factors did not negatively influence our stay and I would definitely stay here if visiting San Diego again.

Pros: Beautiful house with plenty of space in an amazing neighbourhood

Cons: Nothing really. Was very expensive but that's just San Diego for you

I will definitely add this location to my must stay list for San Diego travel.

Pros: No breakfast. The location was absolutely wonderful for everyday travel and getting necessities at local stores. The bed was very comfortable as was the entire residence.

Met my needs 100%

Pros: Exactly as described. Well presented and stocked with thought. Had everything you would need for a one night or week long stay. Super clean, and I’m fussy about that. Linens and towels all good. Several good restaurants and bars within a 3 minute walk, and many more within 10 minutes. Really attentive and helpful host was great from booking to checkout. Wish more hosts were like John!

Cons: No complaints. South Park does get some airplane noise, like all of that part of San Diego but it wasn’t intrusive.

I could not have had better accomodations for my stay than the Fern House South Park Craftsman.

Pros: Perfectly situated for my purposes- easy walking distance to excellent restaurants, night spots and coffee shops, and a short drive to Balboa Park and the zoo. Completely furnished with everything I needed for cooking, laundry, etc.

Great details ABD hospitality

Pros: Cleanness, details, separate and private bathrooms for each bedroom

Cons: No designated parking. Only free you van find a parking on the street

Sparkling home away from home

Pros: Everything about the house is wonderful. It's light and bright, beautifully appointed, comfortable, and quiet (occasional plane noise). Parking was plentiful on the street, and the management was super-responsive. The two-bedroom apartment is spacious, and has an additional den for watching TV. Love love love.

Pros: Zimmer in kleinen Apartment ist für 2 großzügig, Einrichtung ist perfekt, Host hat sich sehr proaktiv um uns gekümmert und schnell auf Fragen reagiert und uns gute Tipps gegeben. Parkplatz genügend in der Nähe. Für Auto Tourist super Lage

Cons: Die Flieger bei der Landung habe ich nicht erwartet. Die Schallisolierung zu den Nachbarn im großen Apartment könnte besser sein.
