A gem in the mountains!
Pros: We love the area around Lake Cuyamaca and Julian. It is quite a hill to drive up and we enjoyed the location. We did not use many of the upgrades like the hot tub and pool table because we were doing lots of hiking and exploring. It was very comfortable and we were happy to have our dog with us for an extra fee. The whole place (3 floors ) is nicely organized and very clean.
Cons: The driveway takes a bit of talent to maneuver approaching and leaving. The directions make sense and should be followed when arriving. There’s gravel at the top on the driveway that had been displaced onto the lower asphalt leaving a couple of ruts. We talked to the property manager about the slipping on the gravel while leaving and my partner directed me out so we did not hit the trash box at the bottom or the neighbors car. It also was slippery to walk on down the driveway to the road. Normally, this does not seem to be an issue. Be prepared to hike up a couple of flights to the main level also. We were there to hike and would love to come back!

Fantastic short stay first time in Julian . Amazing property!!!
Pros: This is a truly amazing property with exceptional Mountain View’s! The decor is fantastic ! The cedar hot tub smells sooo good. We stayed mid July but I bet the winters would be amazing with the wood burning fireplace . Thank you Aubrey for sharing this amazing home!,,

Elegant and cozy retreat
Pros: This house was modern and elegant, yet cozy. Most important, it was a clean space, so we were able to relax. It had everything we needed and more, we all wanted to stay longer :-) There were lots of stairs, and they were all worth it because our stay was so lovely. Especially loved the loft. It was my personal retreat with its awesome bathroom and oh-so-comfy bed. All the appliances [that we used]-dishwasher, stove, washer, dryer, latte maker [hubby now wants one!] were updated and worked well. Family came to visit while they were in Julian and there was enough room for the young and old to play pool, sit-out by the fire, sit-in by fire, and chat at the table. A mini family reunion- made much more pleasant because the feeling of being well cared for, surrounded us, a perfect home away from home :-)
Cons: Stairs for our 89yo dad, but they were manageable.
