La Quinta Inn by Wyndham San Diego Chula Vista

I stayed here to avoid the high hotel prices in San Diego and I'm really glad I did!

Pros: My room was recently refurbished and was in excellent condition and everything worked as expected. The shower was great and there was a plentiful supply of towels and toiletries. The staff here went above and beyond the usual and really did care that your stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Breakfast was included and there was plenty to go around, the staff ensuring that everything was topped up and replenished frequently and the coffee was pretty good too and always available 24/7 Having an in room microwave and fridge was very convenient and was great for keeping my water and soft drinks cool but more importantly my beer too! At the end of my stay I made use of the on site laundry which was clean and well kept with detergent available at reception so no laundry to do when I got home which is a great help! Local convenience stores are located nearby and there are fast food and restraunts nearby if you've been sight seeing or out all day.

Cons: Although not really a complaint or grumble I found the mattress was a bit soft for my personal preference but that didn't prevent a good night's sleep. The only other thing that might bother others is the noise from the highway which was close by but some ear plugs would be a good item to bring if staying here and maybe at the next upgrade a double glazed window on the rooms facing the road. It really wasn't a problem for me personally.

Pros: The location, cleanliness, comfort, and staff service were excellent. Breakfast was adequate. Being pet-friendly was another plus. We were very pleased.

Cons: We only stayed for a long time, so it was a shame they didn't offer a discount.

Pros: The room's comfort, usability, staff quality, and hotel location are all excellent. Breakfast was very adequate. Our dog was very comfortable.

Cons: There should be no separate price for the dog.

Pros: All the staff were super helpful, specially Angel. The pool area was also great.

Cons: I wish their third party laudry service would take quarters as we had some trouble with the payment method (I am not sure if they do not take international cards or what, but we could not pay to use their machines - with debit cards that worked just fine in other places).

A great home base for visiting San Diego

Pros: We were assigned a room fon the back of the building which was silent and we could have a good night's sleep with no noise. The breakfast was sufficient for our needs and it was a great home base for exploring San Diego.

wash the floors in the room

Pros: Liked everything! new room, smells great. The accommodation is excellent, everything is nearby. long breakfast. the staff is incredible! attentive, open, polite.

Cons: The only thing is that I don’t wash the floors (our 11-month-old baby was crawling and was all black. Because there’s a highway nearby and it’s black torture. But everything else is just super!

It was a good night. Would love to go again

Pros: The staff were friendly. The front best services were quick and detailed with a guide sheet and information on activities and time. There was a lot of parking spaces. Breakfast was great!

Cons: I wish that the bed were queen size or at least one queen size and one double bed

Pros: The room was comfortable and clean. The key card is old/outdated and didn't work every time. The staff was kind.

Cons: Key card issues, very uncomfortable pillows. No outlets (had to unplug the alarm clock to get an outlet)

Very pleasantly surprised for the price point

Pros: Great location for everything around the San Diego area. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great. Hotel and everything well presented and clean throughout.

Cons: You can hear the main highway which is to be expected due to the location but put the air con on and it soon becomes background white noise.
