Pretty setting with a few things to note.

Pros: This hotel is located within walking distance of restaurants, a lovely park and a street market (on a Sunday at least). The building offers a lot of charm to the hotel as most of the original features seem to have been respected.

Cons: The fact that the building is old means is not well sound proofed. We stayed over the weekend and we had noisy, fast cars speeding outside our window night and morning. You can also hear people getting in and out their rooms and the noise when someone else in the building uses the shower is quite loud. Then the most memorable negative experience came from the receptionist who was quite harsh when she couldn’t make sense of our names and repeated over and over and over again how we did everything wrong and how it should have been done while berating us once more just for good measure. Quite a lack of vision and service when someone is checking in late and after a long day of travel to be met with attitudes like that. I guess it could be a sign that this place does not host many international guests or that better training must be provided to their staff.

Wonderful, helpful, family owned hotel management. Very nice place to stay in central Chula Vista.

Pros: Check in and departure to the airport were really easy. Located near parks, good restaurants and coffee shops. Felt very safe there.

EXCELLENT AS ALWAYS!

Pros: This is my favorite hotel in Chula Vista and Southbay Area. It is a vintage building lovingly preserved and owned by a wonderful family. No matter how many times I stay there, I never want to leave!

Cons: /

Pros: Staff on check in and check out very polite. On check in, the person gave me a little overview of where I could eat in town.

Cons: First day, no bath mat in bathroo., but not a huge issue.

Will come back again!

Pros: I loved how clean our room was and the location was so convenient. It was close to restaurants and a beautiful commercial strip. The staff were friendly and the structure of the building itself was so neat.

Cons: The bathroom is small and there isn't much space to put things on BUT we were reminded that the building was built in the 1930's, so this makes sense!! Still loved our stay :)

Pros: The room was beautiful and wonderful. We loved the fact that it was an historic landmark. The room was quiet and clean and the staff was wonderful! I also loved that the rooms were named for different districts in San Diego
