Pros: Great location So close to beach and shops 6 surfing spots within a mile …

Very nice hotel---close to EVERYTHING

Pros: Our room had a nice view of the ocean. 2 blocks from old town encinitas--lots of shops restaurants. Easy walk to the beach .

Highly recommend the Moonlight Motel. The staff were tremendous, so helpful and kind. Fabulous!

Pros: Best ever location, clean and well-serviced units. The staff are fabulous - nothing is too much trouble.

newly renovated rooms with comfortable beds and free parking! great place to stay.

Pros: big comfortable beds, balcony with ocean view. Newly renovated! walking distance to Encinitas center. helpful and friendly lady at the front desk.

Cons: booked in advance so prices were too high. could have saved 50% if I booked only 2 days before….

Best location to explore North County!

Pros: Best location to meet our friends at Moonlight Beach (just some steps away) and to explore North County. The shops and restaurants in Downtown Encinitas are around the corner - too many good options :-)! We discovered our favourite breakfast place on the 101 and had dinner and a bonfire at the beach. Our room was quite large (incl. two nice, big armchairs near the glass front to the balcony) and nicely decorated, everything was sparkling clean, the beds were comfy, the staff very friendly, and we loved the (partial) ocean view. If you like hiking: It is just half an hour to Elfin Forest or Iron Mountain. Legoland is around the corner, and it is also under an hour drive to San Diego Zoo's Safari Park. We had rented a car, but it is easy and fun to explore Encinitas and the neighboring communities on foot or by bicycle. Everything is connected by walkways. Moonlight Beach Motel was perfect for us - we loved it and are looking forward to staying there again!
