Coastal Hideaway

We had a fantastic stay here and we love to come back!

Pros: The breakfast was great and had a gorgeous seating area in the backyard.

Cons: The be was little creaky and hard but manageable.

Pros: It was the third time I stayed at Coastal Hideaway - sometimes it’s good when things don’t change. Perfect location for attending a conference at the La Omni and perfect for unwinding and relaxing in the evenings. Very friendly and accommodating hosts. Lovely property.

Pros: Beautiful place, restorative atmosphere, wonderful hosts.

Cons: Leaving after only one night!

Pros: It's simply wonderful, as the title says 'coastal hideaway' is accurate. After a long haul flight from Australia, feeling tired and arriving earlier than anticipated, I was warmly welcomed. This really is a great place to relax, and the community surrounds everything you need. Thank you so much for welcoming me to Carlsbad.

Perfect place to stay in South California

Pros: Clean, nice and cozy. Plenty of space for myself. Janie and Don are amazing hosts. I would definitely repeat if I am back in this part of the world.

Loved it!

Pros: I booked this property on a whim without much research and so was incredibly surprised at how nice it was! The host (Janie) was incredibly communicative and gave clear check in instructions. Parking in front of their house was very easy. The property is incredibly clean and well equipped - they provided bottles of water, dressing robes etc. which was a lovely touch. The bed was very cosy and I slept like a log for those three days! Yoghurt, granola and fruit is provided for breakfast which was perfect, as well as access to their lovely back patio. Janie herself is also a delight - I was lucky to have a long chat with her and learn a little bit about her life and the area! Would definitely recommend if you want a quiet, safe and peaceful stay (important as a female solo traveller), close to but outside the hustle and bustle of San Diego.

Pros: Great family feel. Delightful hosts, extremely comfortable and great continental breakfast. Very friendly dogs.

My stay was very comfortable, safe feeling and made me feel like a made a good choice.

Pros: This is a sweet place. Every detail has been thought of and is very comfortable.

Cons: I felt a little uneasy about making noise when coming in after 8pm. Perhaps a white noise machine in hall could help with that. I am sensitive to disturbing other, so I could be the only one concerned with this. Other than my own awareness there is nothing to be unhappy about at this welcoming home.

Pros: Great Location, wonderful hosts and very comfortable and clean facilities. Hosts provided a choice of breakfast with fresh fruit every morning and a chocolate by the bed.
