The perfect getaway with an amazing view!

Pros: Absolutely loved our room with ocean front view. The little touched of having robes and blankets made it all the more special. The breakfast pastries were delicious too!

Cons: An in room microwave would have been nice, but that's being nit-picky. I can't think of anything else to improve. It was a fantastic visit

Perfect stay

Pros: Just incredible location on the beach. Rooms renovated with much taste. You can order a good breakfast. Comfy beds, big rooms. Just perfect. We had a very good dinner et Via Vai in Carlsbad (8’ by foot). Take a room with ocean view!

Pros: Location, facilities, warm welcome and recommendations from Michelle, nicely decorated and comfortable room, amazing view, dolphins, fire pits and seating areas, beautiful pastry breakfast bar and coffee, and easy access to nearby downtown Carlsbad.

Cons: Nothing.

Lovely relaxing stay in a beautiful location.

Pros: Loved our four-night stay for a long- awaited family celebration. It was our first time to visit the area, and Carlsbad is a lovely town, in addition to the Beach Terrace Inn! Room and bed were very comfortable plus the ocean view was wonderful. Staff was very accommodating, especially Andrea at the front desk. The continental breakfast was delicious and imaginative. We felt quite welcome and are already hoping to return.

Beautiful location directly fronting the beach and close to the restaurants and shops of Carlsbad.

Pros: I stayed in a room with a balcony directly on the beach. The bed was very comfortable. Excellent in-room coffee. Nice bathroom facilities. Everything was first class. Very close to the restaurants and shops of Carlsbad.

Cons: Breakfast was only adequate. Some interesting cold options and pastries but rather minimal. No warm food.

It was nice and quiet and a perfect for our 20th anniversary.

Pros: Clean, close to the ocean. You could sit at different parts of the property and still see the ocean. With in walking distance to downtown. Staff was very helpful and friendly. I was able to charge my Tesla. The bed was so comfortable.
