Lamplighter Inn & Suites at SDSU

Pros: The property was always clean. The staff was very friendly. We were never more than about 20 minutes from major attractions. It's situated in a nice neighborhood.

Cons: The traffic noise at night was sometimes an issue. Requesting a room further away from El Cajon Blvd may help with that.

CLEAN, great value for money. Very happy with our stay !!!

Pros: We were upstairs, which was nice to look out over to the roses & pool area. Handy to a bar over the road, an OP shop just down the way & restaurant next door. Was great to be out of the city hub. The kitchen & cleaning staff were lovely, the room was 10/10 clean ! Would happily stay here again & recommend

Cons: The only thing I would have wanted was an electric jug in the room.

Pros: Perfect location for sdsu,clean room ,laundry ,vending machine ,pool ,Wi-Fi was good

Cons: Something must be added at breakfast ,for example cherry tomato or some other kind of cheese

Pros: Nice place near Sdsu for us as my son is a student there,pool area is nice ,vending machine is ok ,we used the laundry it was good .every day sheets were changed.breakfast is good

Cons: They may add tomato at the breakfast and they give apple only weekends this must be all week long and also another cheese can be added at the breakfast if you will say continental breakfast

Pros: Breakfast included hot & cold cereal, yogurt, fruit, boiled eggs, waffles.... a nice variety. We also had a kitchen in our suite so we could make our own dinner. It's not a 5 star but worked well for our family.

Cons: Wifi would cut in & out at times

Pros: location for SDSU is just perfect and a 15min drive to everything in San Diego

Cons: the hotel overall is bit old but in very good conditions

Pros: Travelling to the US I wanted to experience a motel like the one seen in My Name is Earl and this place did not let me down. I loved the architecture, the outdoor steps up to our room, and the inward facing balcony facing the car park. I felt safe the whole time I was there and the breakfast was great. If this is the kind of thing you’ve always wanted to experience, then I highly recommend this place!

Cons: If you are on the second floor and someone walks, the floor moves a little, you might think it is shaking but it is still tolerable once you know the reason.

Nice stay, good, safe, and peaceful area. NIce personnel.

Pros: The location was good and the noises from the lane (El Cajon blvd) were only slightly audible in the room allthough the room was next to it. So, one could sleep well. The AC was bit noisy. Everything was clean and tidy, and the swimming pool was very nice and open late-night. The personnel was kind and helpful. HIghly appreciated and real valu for the money.
