Pros: Convenient location, right next to Balboa Park. Clean and cool with A.C. Staff very attentive and courteous.

Cons: Noise from suite above due to creaking floors and occupier on the move throughout the night and early morning.

Enjoyable stay

Pros: Light and airy property in good location near to Balboa Park.

Cons: Noise from neighbours above.

Pros: 9F is on the 4th level and no elevator, but on the plus side has amazing views and bbq area across. Recommended!

Pros: Lovely apartment. Great first impressions as soon as we walked in. Very large and comfy bed. Really spacious room. Shame about the herd of elephants staying in the room above us. Location was good. Few homeless around but didn’t bother anyone. Right next to Balboa Park. Managed to park for free close to the apartment but beware of the palm trees!

Close to Balboa park and little italy

Pros: The place is very clean and a 20 minute walk to the entrance of Balboa park. Didn't have any problems with the noise from airplanes.

Cons: The mattress could be firmer and the checkin instructions didn't arrive in time.

Good value for money and nice staff.

Pros: Location was handy to everything but without transport luckily we were able to walk to downtown as it was a bit further than thought. However 5 minutes to airport. Our room was beautiful and security made us feel comfortable. When we arrived we were grateful for help with bags to our room on 3 rd floor. All staff very helpful.

Pros: Good location within walking distance to many attractions. Room was clean and comfortable. I especially like the windows that can be opened to let in the cool ocean breeze.

Cons: As others have said, the hotel is located on a flight path and planes are pretty loud. But keeping the windows closed at night blocks out most of the noise so it didn’t disturb my sleep. Plus earplugs are provided.

Pros and cons of being close to airport, Balboa park is great, overall good value

Pros: The location - close to Balboa park which is great to explore and short ride to the airport. The bed - really comfortable. Thought it was good value for what I paid. Cool view from the window. Didn’t interact with the host/property management in person but they seemed friendly and welcoming.

Cons: The location - because it’s so close to the airport you can hear the planes, bothered me the first night before I got used to it. There also aren’t a ton of restaurants and things to do within walking distance other than Balboa park. Thin walls - I could hear the people above me whenever they walked. Water pressure was lacking, not a dealbreaker. Pillows weren’t great.

Cozy place, needs some simple upgrades

Pros: The location was great and the apartment was equipped with basics for the stay. It is directly in the flight path, which didn't bother me, but could be disruptive for some.

Cons: The pillows were so incredibly uncomfortable, like dense boulders. Thank goodness there was an extra comforter set in the closet that had a smaller, less massive pillow. There were also some issues with the gate & codes.

Pros: The location was fantastic. The items given were good as far as fridge, dish soap, coffee, cupboard full of cups, plates, etc. Pretty clean and well maintained. The bed was comfortable. Automatic lights and locks. Overall, a very good place to stay for the value. I didn't need the staff, but they seemed communicative and welcoming.

Cons: Water pressure wasn't great. The walls were thin, so you could hear a decent amount going on in other rooms/unites and outside. Planes fly over downtown pretty low, so be prepared for plane noise as well.
