Great time in Balboa park Gaslight.

Pros: the location is perfect for getting about San Diego. nice location. All the facilities were in good order. Very helpful staff. Very private . We had a great time.

Cons: The loud airplane noise, but the glazing when closed eliminated the worst of it.

Good stay near Balboa Park at San Diego downtown!

Pros: Decent sized room in a good location with all amenities nearby. Clean and cozy, friendly host and good parking facility. Check in process was super easy and good communication by the host. Super close to San Diego zoo, Balboa Park and downtown.

Cons: Lack of elevator was the only minor drawback.

Well located, very welcoming, safe and relaxing.

Pros: It’s location was excellent, with a fantastic view of Balboa Park. So, I have a fantastic view of the sunrise every morning. The bird calls early morning and watching the changing colour palette as the sun is coming up every morning was so therapeutic and breathtaking - simply awesome! It is also quite centrally located - the Downtown area and historic Gaslamp district is also within walking distance. If you persevere, you can even walk all the way to the Seaport Village and the marina promenade. Just make sure you put on good walking shoes. There are many eateries along the way to quench your thirst and satisfy your appetite. If your are lucky, a DJ may also be on duty spinning cool tunes at some of the open bars along the marina. Even my friend who has settled in San Diego with his family mentioned that the studio apartment is in a good location. The staff at the apartment complex is also very helpful, so makes you feel at home.

Cons: There is no lift, so had to climb up and down at least 3 flights of stairs since my unit happens to be on the 3rd floor. While it is good exercise, it can be daunting especially when you are already so exhausted having expended your energy walking all day. I didn’t mind the sound of airplanes landing since they provided ear plugs. Most times, I was already so tired by the time I get back to my studio and slept soundly.

Pleasant

Pros: Room was pleasant. Staff were friendly. Secure parking at cost and property access with coded gates. It was a bit prison like going in but I was greatful for this!

Cons: Location did not feel very safe and the uber driver said not to walk around at night. No lift to 3rd floor and thin walls too.

This place is a very good value and walking distance to all of downtown San Diego and especially Little Italy section

Pros: Property is exactly as advertised. It’s clean and everything works well!

Cons: I had a little trouble with the lock codes at first. But staff was very Responsive and even walked me thru the process.

Pros: Room was clean and the kitchenette had most kitchen supplies that we needed. Location was good! It was close to all attractions like Balboa park, little Italy area and San Diego zoo. Staff were so friendly and helpful.

Great place for a San Diego visit!

Pros: Amazing Studio, well located centrally in San Diego. Friendly and helpful staff that responded quickly to my inquiries. Unlike some other comments, the area felt very safe, even for a solo female traveler (some homelessness is normal in Californian cities). Would love to stay there for long-term. Overall a great experience and definitely worth visiting.

Pros: I had a great stay ! The room was comfortable for one person, and could work for two as well. The instructions for getting to the room and finding the location were clear and easy to follow. The place was clean and well-maintained. Plus, the location was perfect—close to everything I needed. Would definitely recommend!
