Courtyard by Marriott San Diego Gaslamp/Convention Center

Convenient location, clean no frills hotel.

Pros: It is conveniently located within walking distance to the convention center where my meeting was held. Plenty of food and drinking places within the vicinity.

Cons: The room rates were crazy expensive. But i figured the high rates were due to the big medical convention that was happening in San Diego. There wasn't a kettle in the room which would have been appreciated. I could make some instant coffee or cup noodles.

Pros: Great location. Good value for money. Staff were very friendly.

Cons: The fans in the bathroom cannot be turned off and are very noisy. This is a big nuisance during the night.

Perfect bachelorette get away :)

Pros: The location of the hotel to the bars and the restaurants was so ideal. The staff was incredibly responsive and kind! I was surprised when I received a text from the hosts through my stay asking if there was anything I needed. Very accommodating! If I need to stay down in downtown San Diego again I will be staying here.

Cons: The price of Valet was a bit much. I understand why it needs to be, however, when I am paying $300 per night, $60 for valet feels a bit much. Everything else was exceptional!

Pros: the rooms are modern and very clean . the location is one block off market street - so close to everything , yet a bit away from the noise

Cons: the bed was a bit too soft but then it’s a personal preference

We had the best time! The rooftop bar was AMAZING. Great location to walk to everything!

Pros: We had the best time, nice room and easy to get to Petco Park for a concert.

Great location in downtown Phoenix

Pros: Clean and well run hotel, perfect location in downtown Phoenix. Walking distance to Gaslamp District and the Harbor.

Cons: Expensive valet parking.

Accommodating and safe

Pros: I had another hotel reservation, but it was not what I needed as a solo female traveler. Basically, I needed to scramble on a moment's notice to find a new hotel to stay at. Not only was Courtyard available, in the right location, it was a good deal. I cannot thank the front desk manager enough for her kindness in the check-in process. I knew immediately upon my arrival that I would feel safe at this hotel.

Cons: I don't have any complaints or things I disliked. My only suggestion would be to perhaps include a small microwave in rooms along with the mini fridge. Beyond that, zero dislikes during my stay at Courtyard.

Good value for great location is SD Gaslamp.

Pros: Location near Gaslamp and Convention Center. Clean and accessible.

Cons: Would prefer thicker windows to lessen the party noise from across the street.
