Catamaran Resort Hotel and Spa

Superb hotel!!!

Pros: Stunning place! Everything you could possibly need with own access to the bay and short walk to the Pacific.

Cons: I am being very picky here but I would say it would have been great if it had a laundry. BUT its an exceptional hotel.

Great hotel for beachside San Diego

Pros: We’re upgraded to a room with view over bay which was stunning, great room, big lounge, separate bedroom, 2 massive TV’s. Hotel entrance stunning water features and carp.

Cons: Relatively minor, slide door on room to balcony was very stiff, wife couldn’t open it. Cleaners didn’t take glasses (from bar night before) or replace dirty glasses from room. Some staff were uninterested in serving, one was quite rude, although the guy in the front desk was absolutely excellent (wish I could remember his name).

Fabulous location, with close access to beaches, restaurants and night life

Pros: I've stayed here before and it is such a great location. Right on Mission Bay but very close to the ocean as well, with lots of buzzy bars, restaurants and cafes in close walking distance. Loved meeting the hotel's resident cat this time too!

Cons: I think some aspects of the room decor are looking a little dated now, but it was very clean and well provisioned.

Great location but watch out for sub-standard service from the waitressing staff in Moray’s restaurant

Pros: Great location and soothing setting in an exotic, jungle-like garden.

Cons: Staff were very attentive across many areas but a little lacklustre at Moray’s bar for our last dinner. Disappointingly, the staff were a little abrupt with finding a table, taking the order and keen to cash out and move us on - they let the side down.

Pros: Great location. Lots of restaurants near by. Next to the beach. Good poolside bar

Cons: No shuttle bus

Pros: Room excellent. Hotel location excellent. Facilities very good.

Cons: Slow to refresh our room.

Pros: The location of the hotel is great, the room was very large with kitchen facilities, all the staff were friendly and the pool was great.

Pros: The chairs and umbrellas on the grass were comfortable and a nice feature.

Cons: Someone on our floor banged on our door loudly several times late in the evening and it was startling as we tried to sleep.

Pros: Location is ideal. Resort grounds are beautiful. Rooms are older and bathrooms small and dated but still comfortable. Oceana provides excellent food and good choices of drinks. Staff is pleasant. The SPA is excellent and therapists are knowledgeable.

Cons: Full housekeeping service instead of towels replacement and trash disposal.
