Ayres Hotel Laguna Woods - Aliso Viejo

Great place to stay.

Pros: Friendly staff clean and comfortable. Great breakfast. Nice lounge area outdoors.

Cons: Well the only thing is that we stayed for two of the three nights booked due to a medical emergency. Checked out early in the morning. I had paid in advance. Asked for a credit/ modification for that night and the hotel said we had to contact Booking. Booking says we have to talk to the Hotel. To this date it’s is still unresolved. I have booked hundreds of hotels on booking and have never incurred a fee because I always follow the cancellation/refund policies.

Pros: Very good breakfast and coffees. Perfect outdoor for breakfast. Quiet at night. Car parking alot and big enough for light trucks. Many easy access doors to get your room.

Cons: Nothing compares what you pay.

Overall a great stay

Pros: Lovely spacious pool and surrounding courtyard area. Large rooms. Easy to get taxis into Laguna Beach area. Social hour is an excellent idea on weeknights.

Cons: Pillowcases had some marks on, tap in kitchenette sink wasn't working. These things were minor and did not spoil our stay.

Pros: The location was amazing, nice and quiet. The staff were kind and frindly, it was very welcoming. Breakfast was good too

Cons: The room had a musty smell, wasnt as pleasant walking into it

Pros: Size of the rooms, and amenities, happy hour and breakfast

Cons: The bathroom was a bit dated, but not bad

Comfy bed, 1 night max.

Pros: The bed is comfy. Rooms were clean and everything was well placed and nothing was missing from amenities.

Cons: The walls are thin and you hear water pipes from the rooms. They gave us Wheelchair accessible room, do not understand why. The hotel seemed vacant. Also the bed was queen and not king that we booked. Their IT system said was down and they billed us 6 times even though I informed the desk workers that the payment processing showed approved and she kept saying their system did not assigned it as paid. So kept trying. Seems like it is their way of creating cashflow turnover. They returned the money but I am a finance freak and know exactly each cent I spent so I informed them about this right aways so they had to return the money right away. They did, but imagine other people, older folks who are not so savvy and they might find out they were charged 2-3 times in like a month. So the hotel borrows the money for such time. Many US businesses try to make such cash flow scams. But this is just my opinion and assumption.

Perfect

Pros: Delicious breakfast and happy hours snacks were provided by a cheerful staffs. Room was perfect.

Cons: Nothing negative about the Ayres Hotel or the staff. Excellent service. Specially with Sarah and Ronaldo from the front desk.

We booked this hotel as weather was not sunny so didn’t want to pay for coastal stay. This hotel was an excellent choice
