Brilliant base

Pros: Ideal position for getting around San Diego. Room was large, clean and with a well equipped kitchenette. Desk staff all very pleasant and helpful

Great location, friendly staff.

Pros: From the staff to the amenities and the location, everything was wonderful. We weren't interested in the timeshare but we would definitely stay here again.

Cons: The timeshare spiel the moment we walked in was unexpected, but they were still really nice.

Overall it was a very nice stay.

Pros: The staff were amazing, checking in on us to see if we needed anything. They brought our luggage to our room which was above and beyond great service. The room was great, very spacious and the bed was comfortable.

Cons: The staff could tone back the sales pitches for the time share opportunities. I was unaware that this was a time share place and I purchased my own room for the two nights stay not realizing that I would receive so many phone calls to my room. We didn’t mind the first encounter when we got there which took out about 10 mins of our time before we reached our room, (we just got through a 3 hour drive and wanted to go strait to our room but we are very patient), however, the 3 calls to our room were a bit much. First call was to see if we needed anything which was a nice gesture. Second call was to see if we needed anything and if we were interested in timeshares. Third call was all about the timeshares and opportunities. It got to the point where we were semi dreading the next phone call because 1. It got annoying and invaded our peace and 2. We kept telling them that we were not interested. Now this was a wonderful place and we would love to come back because everything was exceptional but it was a little excessive.
