Hilton Garden Inn San Diego Old Town/Sea World Area

Great hotel in a superb location

Pros: Staff were really helpful in suggesting places to visit. Breakfast staff were amazing, friendly and efficient. Room was very clean and large. We had one dinner during the three days we were there, and it was lovely. Great choice of food for breakfast. Bed was comfortable. Location for Old Town was perfect. Other attractions just a short Uber drive away

Pros: Excellent location close to the old town and the train station. About fifteen minutes drive to Sea World and a little more to Balboa Park. Spacious, bright and clean room, comfortable mattress, spacious and clean bathroom. Kind staff and quick response to requests

A pleasant surprise, would very happily stay again.

Pros: I wasn’t expecting too much, having just stayed in a Hilton Doubletree in downtown LA that left much to be desired. However I was wrong. This is clean, spacious and comfortable (ergo the other one was none of those things). Easy walk from Old Town Station after the Amtrak from LA; I’m not sure I’d stay in Old Town on holiday as it’s a bit limited but this was great for public transport and close to where I needed to be. Nice modern bathroom, ?recently refreshed. I had breakfast included and while I may not have paid for the buffet normally it was perfectly ok, and the waitstaff fantastic and friendly. I had dinner one night in the restaurant which was actually a pleasant surprise; really good burger and absolutely outstanding wait staff. Given this I’m guessing the non buffet breakfast is good but can’t say for sure.

Cons: It’s quite expensive but then again it is San Diego. Front staff were fine but not in the same league as restaurant staff.

Very relaxing; quiet.

Pros: Restaurant, breakfast and dinner were both good and reasonably priced. The mattress on one of the beds was not good; I just used the other one. Love the shower.

Cons: Business center has uncomfortable stool to sit on and has no privacy.

A beautiful property in a great location with super friendly staff.

Pros: We arrived earlier than check-in and the front desk representative was able to get us into a room. This allowed us more time to explore Old Town San Diego. She was so friendly and provided us with information on thing to see and do. We loved the area, hotel and all the amenities it provides its guest. We would definitely stay there again and recommend to our friends and family.

Pros: The rooms are big and spacious, with nice bathrooms. The staff at the reception was very friendly.

Cons: The breakfast buffet was a little pricey for what it offered.

Great - close to Trolley base.

Pros: Everything was good - did not expect washing machine and drier which was a bonus ($2.50 each). Nice that coffee was available in the mornings.

Cons: Disaster - could not work out how to work the TV. Lol

Pros: Great location for our interests. Available beverage station in the morning. Clean, updated rooms.

Cons: Only one elevator worked and needed to wait a long time for the one elevator. Our shower stall leaked significant water onto the floor soaking the bath mat despite the shower door being closed.

Pros: Location. Bed comfort. Charging station. Tv channels.

Cons: Shower leaks onto floor. $27 charge for parking overnight is exceptionally high.
