Courtyard by Marriott San Diego Sorrento Valley

Cool lobby. I'd stay here again, especially when visiting my UCSD student.

Pros: Good location near UCSD and corporations. Engaging multi-level lobby design, numerous semi-private areas for sitting and talking or relaxing. Friendly helpful staff. Walking distance to a fun brewery with good food and a surprising Japanese style garden. Good views of F-35s and V-22s from the airbase nearby.

Cons: Quite unpleasant parking fee for a suburban hotel with lots of space and few public transport options. Gym could use better cooling.

Pros: The view from the window of the pool was excellent.

Cons: The sliding door for the balcony didn't work.

Satisfy but still room to improve giving this is a Marriott brand.

Pros: The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The lobby cafe (bistro) was good. I only have breakfast there, but the offering was limited, but doable.

Cons: The rooms are dated. The bed mattress sink in the middle and hurt my back after couple nights. I have been staying at this property three weeks straight. One of the room I stayed in, I had to change due to the smell. The staff was nice enough to switch me to a different room.

Pros: This hotel is well located and provides comfort due to the pool view. The hotel service staff were friendly and gave me detailed explanations and guidance. In particular, an employee named Haley met all my needs and guided me kindly. The room I was initially assigned had a bad smell, so I asked for another room, and she assigned me a room in good condition. The housekeepers were also friendly. It was great to spend time with my family at the pool, and the balcony was good for air circulation.

Pros: Clean facility and friendly staff. The ease of booking was great. This facility brews Starbucks and loved that.

Pros: Great location. Close to freeways and to LaJolla. Quiet area.

Cons: Parking should be free. Breakfast should be included.

Pros: Location and easy access to highways was ideal for our purpose. We did not opt to have breakfast here. The free parking was good. Property was clean and the service, prompt and courteous.
