Pros: Everything impressed me in a positive way from the very first minute. The service, the design, the cleanliness, and the values they promote — everything stood out. I haven’t felt this way in every hotel.

Wonderful and Comfortable Hostel Life
Pros: Second time staying in a HI establishment, so I came in with high expectations! To start off, the location in the Gaslamp District is very central, and the trolley station is very near! There's a lot of restaurants and bars in the area, so you do not run out of things to do. Even though it gets quite rowdy at night, I didn't hear noise from the street in my dorm (only audible in the common area). The beds are comfortable and come with the bare necessities that make a hostel experience comfortable (fresh towels, clean linen, bed storage, luggage storage, personal bed curtains). The common area is super spacious and you can do full-on cooking! Wi-fi is stable and you can do work in the common area without much hassle. Really enjoyed my stay here.
Cons: There's not that many toilets and washrooms on each floor, and you might have to go to other sections to find a vacant shower/toilet. However, the washrooms are pretty spacious. Gaslamp District can be very stimulating at night, and not as chill as other parts of the city.

Perfect stay in downtown
Pros: A comfortable stay in the middle of downtown. The facilities are really good from comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen and clean bathrooms. There are shared rooms and separate bedrooms which do not face the main road and so it is silent.
Cons: I do not have anything to complain about.

Pros: It was a high-quality hostel, maybe one of the best I have ever stayed in. The common rooms were very well maintained and cleaned. The rooms were super clean, and the bed and pillows were good. Plus, on our last day, there was a room to leave our luggage after the checkout for some hours until our flight. Totally recommended 👌
Cons: The curtains and the ac part seemed a bit dusty, but we didn't interact much with it.

Absolute bargain, value for money, 10/10!
Pros: The facilities were fantastic, including the kitchen and eating areas. Room was well equipped for myself as a solo traveller but would be perfect for two people as well! It is well placed, surround by bars and restaurants and just a 5 minute walk to Petco Park.

Pros: Amazing location right next to the gaslamp district with lots of bars and restaurants, also close to transport links all over the city. The facilities were amazing with lots of communal spaces and a large kitchen.
Cons: This could just be the room we were in, but we stayed in a double queen with private ensuite and it was next to the road which is very loud with just single pane glass, and there was a water pipe going through the room which was equally loud. The bathroom wasn't the tidiest either.

Just booked this hostel guys, highly recommend!
Pros: It’s affordable and perfect. The hostel has plenty of rooms, each with a basin, bathroom, and eight super-comfy beds. Every bed comes with a towel, two pillows, a duvet, plus a privacy curtain, reading light, and power socket. The sturdy bed frames don’t creak or shake, and the rooms include an air cooler that doubles as a heater in winter. The kitchen on Level 3 is well equipped and even offers free pasta, rice, oil, and seasonings. Guests can also enjoy board games, a pool table, arcade games, vending machines, and TV.
Cons: The laundry room is closed for maintenance during my stay which I need to do my laundry at a laundromat at double the price 😢.

One of the best hostels I've ever stayed at.
Pros: The hostel was modernly equipped. There were curtains around the beds for privacy, sufficiently spacious lockers, sockets and charging ports by the bed, and everything else you could wish for.
Cons: I have nothing to criticize.
