Pros: The place doesn't have bunk beds. Instead, they have sturdy beds built into modern-looking compartments that provide necessary privacy. The rooms are spacious. The staff is very friendly, helpful and responsible

Excellent place, safe, comfortable, great location, polite and helpful staff. I will visit again!!!
Pros: Stay Classy was excellent. The location was very good. The place was clean and comfortable. It had a kitchen to cook if you wanted. The pods were very comfortable and clean, with excellent privacy. I loved the fact that I had exclusive charging points for my cell phone (which was not so in other hostels). Additionally, I loved that I didn't have to climb bunk beds! I would have loved a few more toilets and showers, but it was manageable. The staff was very efficient, helpful and polite. They provided a supply of clean towels. The quality of Wi-Fi was very good. I will recommend Stay Classy to anyone who is traveling on a budget and looking for a comfortable, clean and safe place to stay. I will surely stay here if I am visiting San Diego again!! Loved it.
Cons: I would have loved a few more toilets and showers, but it was manageable. A few guests tend to open windows at night, making the room a little cold. But one can't blame the hosts for errant behaviour on the part of guests! I would have loved a more comfortable blanket.

Good hostel
Pros: We loved the ambiance. Well structured. The kitchen has everything you need for meal prep. The owner is strict with rules (๐), always busy doing something, but if anything is needed, you can always address him or one of the employees on duty (very nice persons). 1ยฝmin on the other side of the street, there is \
Cons: As 2 women we would have needed more hanging options for clothes and/or bigger wardrobe. ๐

Good hostel
Pros: Liked the privacy of staying in a hostel but still having the whole bed to ourselves! The common areas was good place to hang out and eat! The staff was friendly and helpful. Location is in downtown, and right next to a store which is convenient! The water machine thing in the kitchen was amazing, cold or warm water all the time, we loved it! Also loved the coffee, tea and hot chocolate that was always available!
Cons: It was great to have a kitchen, but it was small, so it felt like you couldnโt be more than one to two people at the same time. Also people are not good at cleaning up after themselves in the kitchen, that is guests faults though.. The curtains in front of the bed made the air a little bad during the night, we left a gap and that helped a bit. They have aircon! The bathroom sink (especially in girls bathroom) was terrible to brush teeth with, water splashing everywhere, and hard to do it with the sensor. It was also just one working most of the time, and only one soap working. In other bathroom it was a bit better but still difficult. Not much happening in the hostel, they installed a projector so the were playing movies while we stayed, maybe they will have that a bit more organised eventually which would be a great addition! Location is great if downtown is your thing, that comes with homeless and dirty streets. It is just 5 min away from public transport.

Super value
Pros: Surprisingly quiet considering the layout, because everyone's bed is curtained off, you dont get people chatting and hanging around in the sleeping areas, so other than the occasional suitcase rolling past, it's nice n quiet all night. Beds are very comfortable - not stupidly soft, but not paper thin either, just right. Bed and sheets super clean, and bathroom/showers kept very clean. If you just want a comfy bed, with some degree of privacy and a quiet night, this is the perfect compromise between a hostel and a cheap hotel.
Cons: The area is pretty rough and there is clearly quite a bad drug problem in the area, but no one caused me any trouble Probably looks worse than it is, and San Diego seems pretty safe despite these problems.

Good place to spend a night in San Diego center for reasonable money
Pros: This is a good hostel, which is unique in providing large and comfortable beds that each are located in a large (for hostel) space separated by curtains from others. While you can hear the sounds form other guests, thick curtains reduce the noise and it is easy to get a good sleep. Location is close to the Gaslamp quarters and all restraunts in there. There is a very nice ramen restraunt in just a few minutes, and Starbucks is even closer. Showers were clean, though men toilet has only 2 sinks which may not be enough in those rush hours in the morning. Free coffee at the reception, kitchen, filtered and cold water, common areas with chairs and places to work with a laptop - everything is very convinient.
Cons: The bed had a squeaky foundation (the part below the mattrass) that made noise if you turn during your sleep. Lockers are a bit narrow to fit a larger suitcase, though you can leave it in your room instead.

Best hostel Iโve stayed in
Pros: Great setup for a hostel - the curtained off areas make it feel like separate rooms which is nicer then the bunk style. Large spacious communal areas that are clean and comfy and lots of convenient amenities.
