The Beau Hotel Downtown San Diego Gaslamp Quarter

Pros: Beautifully restored Victorian hotel in the heart of Gas Light Quarter. Clean, beautiful and the staff were so helpful, nothing was too much.

Cons: On 3rd floor and no elevator, so getting luggage up was a bit of a hassle, but staff carried.

Comfortable stay

Pros: It was a beautiful boutique hotel setup. Very quaint, smells great, aesthetically pleasing, good service, very effecient, 24 hour coffee station, very convenient for restaurants and food, great taco restaurants

Pros: Friendly staff, clean premises, rooms were comfortable and clean - really happy with our stay!

Charming hotel in very central location

Pros: This hotel is in gaslamp quarter where you can find restaurants, shops and general nightlife. Room was a bit small but enough for us. It was quite throughout our stay but we could hear people talking on the hallway. Very clean. Hotel is very charming as it has got the charm of an old building but with all the modern facilities. Staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. We left the luggage in storage for few hours after check-out. There is a bar/restaurant downstairs but we haven't tried it. Highly recommend it.

It's an awesome space in an awesome location.

Pros: Really nice historical building in a great location.

Cons: The toilet paper dispenser in 320 was in a stupid spot. I hit my elbow multiple times.

Great location and facilities and reasonably priced.

Pros: Near to centre of gaslamp quarter. Comfortable room. Bed very comfortable. Very clean. Reasonably priced for location/facilities.

Cons: I couldn’t get the wifi to work.

Clean safe and close to the main action

Pros: Nostalgic, clean simple but elegant. Love the tea and Starbucks coffee station and the reception people are very polite.

Cons: They have thought of everything including ear plugs at reception if the traffic is too loud and it can be sometimes

Good Value, Central location, with easy parking

Pros: Rooms were fine. The corridors are bigger than the rooms, they are massive. We stayed in the cool season and did not need the aircon. Not sure how it would cope in summer. Breakfast was great, staff good. Parking good but you need to download an app to pay, a bit of a pain but not a deal breaker. It is close to all the action:)

Cons: Struggling on this one, everything was fine.

Affordable accommodation

Pros: Only couple of stops from Santa Fe station, very lovely decor with high ceilings. Room was cosy and ok for 1 night. Breakfast was delicious.

Cons: Very noisy street/neighborhood - earplugs would not help to fall asleep. A/C unit extremely noisy so couldn't leave it on overnight.

Amazing old hotel in the heart of the Gaslamp district

Pros: Amazing property - such a beautiful classic building and impeccably decorated, it is like going back in time. Restaurant is awesome as well. Room was great and had everything we needed, the complimentary coffee/tea station on each floor was an added bonus. Staff were lovely and a credit to the business.

Cons: Only a couple of things that could be improved on - maybe a mini fridge in each room? Air con was extremely loud so we turned it off at night and the room was very hot. Maybe a mini split would work? Appreciate the building is old.
