Estancia La Jolla Hotel & Spa

A comfortable choice for a La Jolla visit

Pros: We were upgraded to a suite which probably made our stay much more comfortable as a family of four compared to a standard room so we may be more biased. The architecture and gardens were nice, lots of relaxed seating areas along with the smart pool area. Breakfast staff were excellent at accommodating gluten free needs. Gym well equipped too.

Cons: It’s an enclosed compound with no views of the sea which for some reason i’d been expecting. It’s also got a real conference vibe so didn’t get the vacation feels. Hard to get a pool spot on weekends. Would have preferred a breakfast buffet rather than a la carte. Lunch and dinner options were really limited for gluten free so we didn’t end up eating there.

A charming accommodation

Pros: What a pleasant stay! At the first glance, the facilities are a little dated, but it is all so well kept and comfortable, we couldn’t ask for more. And it had its charm. The most heartfelt thanks for the excellent service - it made the stay particularly enjoyable.

Cons: Perhaps the carpet in the room could be replaced at some point.

Pros: Literally everything! :) we had a wonderful stay with my family for the weekend.

Pros: This place is so beautiful and well-designed. Everything is very elegant and pretty. I really like the garden!

Would stay again and would recommend

Pros: Room was beautiful, loved the seating area. Beautiful property to walk. Staff was a 10 out of 10

Cons: The patio, small, not inviting and only 1 chair. I would t pay for the upgrade again.

Pros: Loved the property itself was beautiful and relaxing. Was just what we needed for a weekend recharge will definitely be returning.

Cons: I wish the rooms were a little bit cleaner when we arrived. Housekeeping quickly came and addressed our issues but only issue we had.

Perfect romantic garden getaway. Felt like we were in our own piece of paradise!

Pros: The property was absolutely beautiful, very quiet and peaceful. The staff blew us away with their hospitality, everyone we spoke to was helpful and kind. The staff exceeded our expectations.

Cons: We did leave our room and removed our “do not disturb” sign hoping that our towels would be replaced and bed made but that didn’t happen. Not the biggest deal, if we really needed it we would have asked.

Enjoyable and relaxing stay at plush location

Pros: Beautiful location and centrally located. Well kept gardens, spacious and clean. I also appreciated the bar that accommodated alcohol free beverages The food was pretty good.

Cons: The prices for the grab and go breakfast and coffee were a little on the expensive side. Would have maybe preferred more food options.

Pros: This is an exceptional hotel. Literally one stop shop where rest meets relaxation meets location meets food and drink. You never have to leave and really shouldn’t. From the coffee in the morning to the espresso martinis at night… it’s all one needs to reset your mind and body.

Cons: Pretty much everything

It was SPECIAL, comfortable and luxurious all at the same time. Highly recommend!

Pros: We have stayed here two times before, and the upgrade they recently made was fantastic. The pool, lounge chairs and lunch options were spot on. We loved it before but we REALLY love it now.
