Residence Inn San Diego La Jolla

Pros: Cozy room (upstairs). Not sure about 1st floor. Spacious and clean.

Cons: Low water pressure. Parking fee per day ($28) is too high. TV is a bit outdated and small (compared to other hotels)

Pros: Location relative to the freeways makes walking a bit inconvenient

Pros: Breakfast was better than expected. Employees were very kind. The view was beautiful there. It's right besides UCSD so I felt safe to walk nearby

Very spacious, quiet and good breakfast.

Pros: The breakfast, friendly staff. Quiet and spacious rooms. The pool and spa were great too.

Cons: Cost of parking and the cost to wash clothes.

Ok for the money

Pros: We really liked how spacious the room was. We also liked the beds being comfortable and the bedsheets very nice and clean. Ample place for parking.

Cons: I think overall the concept of these chain hotels needs to improve. They are ok but not great! There is a lack of design and creativity in these spaces to make them more unique. Also, the breakfast is not good. These hotels need to up their game when it comes to espresso machines and quality of food. Maybe take a trip to Europe to see how they do it there.

Nice apartments in La Jolla!

Pros: Residence Inn is a very nice set of apartments in La Jolla. Very close to UCSD and supermarkets. It is very quiet and facilities are great. I loved I can get coffee and tea at anytime from reception.

Cons: Breakfast was good. However, I stayed there 13 days and food options were always the same. It would have been nice if they changed from time to time.

Clean, convenient good value with excellent breakfast

Pros: Convenient location, walkable to retail, restaurants and UCSD (although along a busy road). The included daily breakfast was excellent with lots of variety- including rice and kimchi, eggs, potatoes, fruit, oatmeal, pastries, etc. The staff were so kind and helpful

Cons: Dated rooms, first room was on main road and very noisy but they kindly moved us.

Close to UCSD

Pros: I had a scheduled medical procedure at UC San Diego Health, and the location of this Residence Inn was perfect - only about a 10-minute drive to my appointment. The location was very quiet and overall comfortable.

Cons: My one complaint is for the sofa/sleeper in our unit. While we didn't use it to sleep on, it was extremely uncomfortable to sit on while watching TV.

Pros: When we arrived, Omar was extremely gracious and helpful.

Cons: I had a booking difficulty and tried to deal with the telephone staff. The first person I spoke to was abrupt, extremely rude and hung up on me. The second person had no authorities to solve my problem, but at least was polite. We have stayed at the residence Inn several times and have noticed that the breakfast offerings have gone downhill.

Pleasure to stay

Pros: It was pretty good for everything needed for a little vacation/attending weeding party. Everything we were looking for: included breakfast, room and pool
