Lovely, luxurious stay within walking distance of water and historical district

Pros: Very close to Gaslamp and great facilities. Loved the music in the lobby. Beds were extremely comfortable

Comfort stay in Downtown

Pros: The location of the hotel was great as it is situated right in the downtown with access to public transportation. The room was big and the bed was very comfortable. There is access to gym, swimming pool and spa which adds extra comfort for frequent travelers who want to stay active.

Cons: The room was facing the tram tracks and the sound from outside could be heard inside. Better sound proofing windows would be better.

I really enjoyed the Westgate. It’s very close to the gaslamp area and right across the street from the San Diego Civic

Pros: I love the Victorian decor. A very relaxed vibe. It was usually music or a piano playing or somebody playing the harp. The room was very spacious and clean and very nice.

Cons: I can’t think of anything I didn’t like about the property. I would just add one small nitpick and that is to maybe add some phone charging stations in the lobby.

Wonderful Hotel with the best shower of any hotel we have experienced

Pros: Great and personable staff. Great European old style hotel. WE have stayed at 4 and 5 star hotels everywhere in the world and the room's shower is the best we have ever experienced.

Cons: Room service meal was badly prepared and over cooked.
